Last semester in class, a number of students were a little confused when they did their first blog posting.
So. . . . This time we'll all do a practice post during class today. (I will post the real techology blog topic early this evening.)
I was trying to think of a topic of interest that would apply to everyone. How about all the construction on campus this fall?
What do you think of all the construction on campus this semester? How has the construction affected you or not? Do you have any concerns for your safety; i.e. anything you've seen that you consider to be unsafe?

blog!
shits weak
To be honest, I really don't even remember why they were going through this construction anyway. I do remember something about pipes...
I mean, I really wouldn't say that it has affected me in any way. It just made my tru=ip to Clinton in the morning 30 seconds longer. It's also a great alarm clock for me.
I have not found anything in particular that has been a concern of safety. It seems the general contractors have been hired based for their safety. Although, you can never rule out accidents...
I find it extremely annoying, since they started the construction around 6 in the morning. Guess what? Most of us are sleeping then. As much fun as it is to be woken up by the banging and clanging... I wish it would finish sooner rather than later.
It's really annoying. I can't stand waking up at 6 am to construction workers yelling at the top of their lungs and their stupid bulldozers. They need to get things done faster.
I'm scared for my saftey!!!
And its super ugly.
The construction is out of control. it wakes me up every morning at 7am when i could sleep until 11. Theres no reason to start that early. And also the construction outside the front of Clinton is stupid they make us walk around hood just to go in a big loop around to get back to a building we already passed. They need to use some common sense and make everyones lives less stressful
The construction really doesn't bother me. I live off campus, so I'm free from the constant construction. During class, it is a bit annoying, but it doesn't reach the level where I can't stand it.
Living off campus I don't really notice it too much.
The comstruction on campus has become very annoying. Especially in the morning hours, when they start running machinery while I am trying to sleep. I think they need to hurry it along so we don't have to put up with it much longer.
I think there is too much construction.....
No i don't think the construction has affected me too much this semester, but it holds up a lot of traffic which is always bad around campus this year. Maybe they should have tried to complete this kindof stuff in the summer when no one is here instead of the middle of the semester.
As someone who works construction, I strangely enough enjoy walking by the construction sites. Also, being a pedestrian, The construction has not really hindered my ability to get around campus in most cases. I think if work needs to be done, it should get done. If it can be done in the summer, that's better. If the work is done while classes are in session, that's okay too.
The construction actually does bother me a little bit, but I guess if it has to be done then I will just deal with it. It is very loud in the morning when I sleep so it is somewhat irritating. I do not really have any concerns dealing with safety as long as people just stay clear of the construction areas.
The construction on campus at SUNY Plattsburgh has not really stopped me from doing anything. I have not seen anything unsafe and I am proud to know that the construction is being done by union contractors, because my father is a union electrician in Local Union # 3 New York, New York.
I find the construction very aggravating especially in the morning. Sometimes it even interferes with my study time. I don't understand why the construction could have been finished over the summer. I know they want to make the campus nicer, but there choice of when to do these projects is simply outrageous. Since they already started, I think they need to speed up the process and finish ASAP so students won't be as annoyed.
The construction on campus is very disruptive to the staff and student populations. The constant noise is a negative addition to the serene plattsburgh State campus.
I like it here at Plattsburgh.
The construction is terrible. Its right outside of my dorm and wakes me up almost every morning
At least they're finally putting that tuition money to use...
i think the construction is fun
if i get woken up one more time at 6 am the construction workers are going to know exactly how i feel about it..ill show them exactly what they can do with that damn jackhammer
Ugh, Its absolutely horrible the sound echo's between all of the dorms and wakes me up everyday.
Over it, ill take a messed up pathway .
I think the constructions are really annoying just for the fact that it has increased my walk time and distance getting food.Unfortunately they have 1 outside my room and it wakes me up real earlier every morining especially on days when i'm not suppose to be up.
annoying
i hate blogs
It's annoying and I cant wait for it to be over with.
